Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 2026. PocketAI does not collect, track, or share your data. The only thing we keep is the email you give us to get a licence.

1. Fundamental Architecture

PocketAI was built with an uncompromising premise: your artificial intelligence should belong exclusively to you. Rather than treating privacy as a policy document or a settings checkbox, our architecture makes cloud data extraction impossible by design.

We do not maintain a user database, prompt logging server, or tracking platform. Even if legally requested, we possess no user communications, documents, images, or chat histories to provide, because they never leave your Apple hardware.

2. This Website (pocket.liveshortly.com)

This marketing website is built from simple, static HTML and CSS files:

  • Zero Cookies: We do not set first-party cookies, tracking cookies, or session cookies.
  • Zero Analytics: We run no tracking scripts, beacons, pixels, or analytics tools (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no Mixpanel).
  • Zero Third-Party Network Requests: We do not load remote fonts from Google Fonts, remote scripts from CDNs, or third-party stylesheets. All assets are self-contained.
  • Zero Identifiers: We do not fingerprint your browser or track your IP address across sites.

Licence emails and the free licence page

The app and this website collect nothing. The one exception is when you ask for a licence on /licence. Then:

  • What we store: your email address, the licence id, and dates (issued, expires, first and last request). Nothing else about you.
  • Why: to send you your licence key, to resend it, to revoke it if refunded, and to support you.
  • Where: our Cloudflare D1 database, reached through our own Cloudflare Worker. No other service receives your address, except Resend, which delivers the licence email on our behalf.
  • Retention: kept while the licence is valid and for 2 years after it ends, then deleted.
  • Marketing is separate and off by default: the box "Email me about PocketAI updates" is unchecked. Only addresses that tick it may receive anything beyond the key, receipts and support replies, and every such email has a one-click unsubscribe. Unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
  • Delete your data: reply to your licence email or write to [email protected] and we remove your address. A key you already hold keeps working offline.

3. The PocketAI Application

On-Device Inference

All artificial intelligence model execution — whether generating text, transcribing audio with Whisper, or analyzing photos with vision models — happens entirely in your device's unified memory. Your queries never touch an external server or relay.

No Accounts Required

You can download and run PocketAI without providing an email address, name, phone number, or password. An email is needed only if you want a licence key. There is no login flow or sign-in requirement.

iPhone & Mac Local Pairing

When you pair your iPhone with your Mac, the two devices communicate directly over your local Wi-Fi or wired network using mutual TLS encryption. Communication never passes through a cloud relay or external proxy server.

Offline License Verification

PocketAI Pro license keys use cryptographic Ed25519 digital signatures. When you activate a license, the key is verified entirely locally against an embedded public key. The application makes zero network requests to validate your key, allowing activation in full airplane mode.

Network Proof & Offline Mode

PocketAI includes a built-in Network Proof ledger showing all app-controlled internet connections (such as user-initiated model downloads from Hugging Face or signed catalog updates). You can enable Offline Mode at any time to block all outbound app-controlled internet requests.

Note: System-level OS operations, such as TestFlight and system speech assets, run in protected operating system sandboxes governed by Apple's privacy policy.

4. Payments and Commercial Transactions

When purchasing PocketAI Pro on our website, checkout is conducted via Stripe. Stripe processes your payment details under their standard privacy and PCI-DSS compliance policies. PocketAI receives only confirmation of purchase to generate your Ed25519 license key and deliver it to your provided email address. We do not store or process your credit card numbers.

If you purchase PocketAI Pro via Apple In-App Purchase, transactions are handled exclusively by Apple according to your Apple ID terms.

5. Diagnostic & Crash Reports

PocketAI bundles zero third-party crash analytics SDKs. Diagnostic reporting is strictly opt-in and handled via standard system email: if you choose to report an issue, the app generates a plaintext email draft containing redacted technical diagnostics that you can inspect and approve before sending.
